teamvampireweekend:

Ten days after their first band rehearsal, Vampire Weekend played their first ever show at SEAS Battle of the Bands at Columbia University on February 16, 2006. They played Oxford Comma and Walcott and were critiqued by a panel of judges, American Idol-style. They placed third out of four.

The bluegrass group Lion in the Grass, which CT is a part of, won the competition.
